As mentioned above, logical reasoning test evaluates an individual ability to think clearly and analytically. To demonstrate this let's review some example questions. For the following consider the below images. Your task is to inspect all four boxes and find out which box is odd one out. That is, what image does not share characteristic of the other three images. If not don’t despair some of the patterns in logical reasoning tests may be difficult to spot if you are new to these tests. Some questions are difficult to work out due to number of factors such as time limit, unfamiliarity with the test content or lack of practice. Remember, the more practice logical reasoning tests you undertake the better your skills become. In the above boxes, circles and lines form distinctive images nevertheless three out of four share certain characteristics. Watch out for number of intersections in each image. Note that box A has three intersections so box B and D have, however the box C has four intersections and thus you can conclude that box D is odd one out. Fairly simple, isn’t it.

Right from the beginning, you can rule out that the correct pattern would be based around number of shapes in each box or colour of particular items as in each of the boxes there are three shapes with different colours. However, you may note that three of the boxes contain shapes with four sides whereas only one box does not contain such shape. So you may conclude that the box D must be the odd one out.
